March 30, 2017Roberts Hosts Spring Leadership Breakfast: Veterans in the Workplace
Roberts Wesleyan College will host its Spring Leadership Breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Friday, April 7, in the Shewan Recital Hall on campus. The theme is “Veterans in the Workplace.” The panel of experts of distinguished veterans includes:
- Todd Baxter, executive director, Veterans Outreach Center Inc.
- Kai Chitaphong, national director, Veterans Integration to Academic Leadership
- Laura Stradley, director, Monroe County Veterans Service Agency
The veterans will discuss how “team, mission, leadership and work ethic” — all traits veterans learn and live by — impact an organization, how to find veterans with skills a workplace needs and how to have the appropriate support services in place for veteran employees.
The event will be moderated by Kirby Trask, chair for the Department of Criminal Justice, Roberts Wesleyan College professor and a retired officer of the U.S. Army.
Admission is free. RSVPs are required before Thursday, April 6. To RSVP or for more information, visit here.
