Jeff Wagner, MBA
Adjunct Professor of Criminal JusticeJeff has served in the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office for 26 years, currently holding the rank of Captain. His current assignment is the commanding officer of Special Operations, in which he is responsible for leading the specialized units (SWAT, K9, Hazardous Devices Squad, SCUBA, etc.) as well as other specialized and tactical units, such as Community Services, Airport Security, Parks and Marine Units, the Tactical Unit, the Fugitive Squad, and others. Prior to this assignment Jeff served as a Zone Captain, Watch Commander, and in assignments on the Road Patrol, Internal Affairs, Accreditation, the Fugitive Warrant Squad and the Joint Terrorism Task Force. He has attended numerous courses and trainings and also served as a Firearms and General Topics Instructor at the Academy.
Jeff served in the United States Marine Corps, in addition to various other jobs, prior to becoming a Police Officer at the Sheriff’s Office. His personal interests include travel, food, cooking, reading and film. He aspire’s to continue his journey as a lifelong learner, and is inspired to work with others as they pursue their path of learning and excellence.
