Jane Walker

Program Coordinator for Pathway to Teaching

A native of Dayton, OH (go Buckeyes!), my husband, John, and I moved to Rochester in 1980.  This is my second time as an employee at RWC. I first worked as the Administrative Assistant in the Health Center from 2000 - 2006. When my disabled father-in-law moved into our home, I agreed to leave Roberts in order to provide full-time care for him as well as babysit for our first three grandchildren. In 2013, I returned to RWC and began working for the Pathway to Teaching (PTT) Program in the Teacher Education Department.

I love our PTT students and my work as Admissions Liaison/Program Coordinator. PTT students are truly amazing individuals who come from every background with a wide array of life experiences. They range in age from early 20’s to early 60’s who have at least one common goal—to make a positive difference in the lives of students.

John and I have five children—four are alumni of Roberts—and 11 grandchildren.  In addition to family and church activities at Faith Christian Center, I enjoy traveling, tennis, bowling, playing cards and board games, and listening to music.
