Ashley G. Moss currently teaches beginning band and kindergarten general music for Rochester City School District. In the summer months, she serves on the faculty of the Rochester Flute Association Flute Camp at Hochstein School of Music and Dance. Ashley is an active musician in the Rochester community, subbing regularly in local chamber ensembles, and is a member of the Perinton Concert Band in Fairport.
Prior to returning to the Rochester area, Ashley completed a Master of Music in Music Education at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. While there, she served as a Lead Teacher in the Early Childhood Music program at Michigan State University Community School and taught early childhood and elementary general music courses for undergraduate teacher education majors. From 2011 to 2013, Ashley taught vocal and instrumental music at Rochester Christian School and taught woodwind lessons for Roberts Community Music School.
Ashley completed a Bachelor of Science in Music Education at Roberts Wesleyan College in 2011. She completed a Master of Music in Music Education at Michigan State University in 2015. She is an active member of the New York State School Music Association, National Association for Music Education, and the Gordon Institute for Music Learning, regularly presenting at affiliated music education conferences. Her interests include teaching students with special needs and developmental music making.
