The Roberts Cultural Life Center seeks applications for a full-time Technical Director to oversee all production requirements of performances and events within the Roberts Cultural Life Center and to meet and/or exceed customer’s expectations – both internal and external - while maintaining departmental and institutional standards and goals. Key responsibilities include providing technical (audio, video, lighting and stage setup) needs for all events in the Hale Auditorium and any needs specified outside of Hale Auditorium, including Shewan Recital Hall and the Voller Athletic Center Arena; hiring, training and coaching student employees and volunteers to assist with productions and events; setting up and running all rental events such as dance recitals, high school graduations, and musical events; and overseeing all technical/production aspects of Chapel services in Hale Auditorium.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Technical theatre or related field and 2-3 years of technical theatre experience required, including computerized stage lighting systems, digital sounds equipment, and stage rigging. Strong communication skills and customer service commitment also required.
