Nursing Faculty - RN to BS Program

The School of Nursing seeks candidates for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate professor position, immediate opening starting in the fall semester 2023.

The mission of the School of Nursing at Roberts Wesleyan University is to advance the profession of nursing through education, practice and scholarship within a supportive Christian academic environment. The school has over 200 students in a prelicensure baccalaureate program, an online RN to BS degree completion program, and online graduate programs in Nursing Leadership & Administration, Nursing Education, and Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner.  Candidates for this position will join a faculty committed to excellence in nursing education in a suburban area of Rochester New York. Roberts Wesleyan University is an independent, coeducational liberal arts university in the Christian tradition with approximately 1700 students. Responsibilities: 

Teach primarily in the undergraduate post-licensure RN-BS nursing program including online teaching; provide academic advisement; serve on Program and University committees and maintain a record of scholarship and professional activity.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include an advanced degree in nursing and NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or Advanced Practice Nurse.  Preference will be given to individuals with a completed doctoral degree.  Candidates must be highly skilled and flexible, able to teach a wide variety of courses to a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students in traditional and nontraditional programs.  Preferred candidates will demonstrate cultural competence and show strong commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Salary Range: $52,000 - $57,000 based on experience and rank.
