Director of Multicultural Student Success
Position Description/Responsibilities: The Office of Student Life is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Multicultural Student Success. This new position will support and advocate for diversity initiatives and develop students’ coordination of programs and resource implementation. The primary charge is to develop and implement student-based programs and initiatives that contribute to enhancing the College experience and retention of undergraduate underrepresented students. The Director will also provide quality leadership and direction in the areas of student-based programs, service opportunities and student diversity/inclusion initiatives, including coordinating cultural events on campus and collaborating with key campus leadership groups and departments.
Qualifications: Master’s degree required in appropriate/related field, as well as, demonstrated knowledge and experience related to topics of diversity, inclusion, and multicultural affairs, preferably in higher education. The role also requires strong leadership abilities and excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; demonstrated teaching and public speaking abilities; good computer skills/information technology understanding; and an ability to work effectively on a team or independently.
