Director of Marketing - Northeastern Seminary

Position Description/Responsibilities:

The associate vice president for Enrollment at Northeastern Seminary is seeking applications for a full-time director of Marketing. This role oversees the development and execution of all communication and marketing strategy in line with the overall strategic goals of the Seminary. The director provides operational expertise and strategy in marketing and communication to enable the Seminary to meet enrollment and advancement goals. In addition, the director of Marketing directs and oversees the planning of meetings and special events for the Seminary to ensure alignment with institutional mission and strategic goals. Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and leadership in managing comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and marketing programs to advance an organization’s mission and goals; passion for Northeastern Seminary’s mission; be an innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output; and have the ability to manage multiple complex priorities within a demanding time frame. The successful candidate will also have a track record in leading the marketing mix of a fast-growth business with a focus on measurement, analytics, and continual improvement; extensive successful writing and editing experience (externally focused) with a variety of print and online communications media; and demonstrated capabilities in web design and user experiences, marketing and communications, market research, and social media marketing, making suggestions for improvements and utilizing CRM data for communications. Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with specific competency in Adobe InDesign with a background in Adobe Premiere is preferred but not required.

Additional experience required in creating or managing the production of video and photo projects; building, mentoring, and coaching a team that can deliver and exceed expectations; excellent and persuasive communicator for both internal and external stakeholders; background in migrating sales and marketing CRM system to SalesForce a plus (but not required); experience in Hubspot a plus (but not required); and strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills.

A minimum of five years’ experience in a marketing, communications or related management role either in-house or with an agency is required. An advanced degree in communication, marketing, journalism, or a related field strongly preferred.
