Director of Finance

Position Description/Responsibilities: The Chief Financial Officer is seeking applications for a full-time Director of Finance.  This position provides vision, leadership, and innovation in the oversight and direction of the accounting, budgeting, treasury, financial reporting, and tax operations of the College and Seminary, ensuring excellent service to all constituents.  The Director of Finance hires and provides oversight to the financial staff, helps develop, maintain, and evaluate a strong internal control environment, provides oversight for the annual audit, creates and analyzes financial information for College leadership, assists the CFO with banking and treasury relationships, and supports the CFO’s strategic purpose of ensuring adequate resources to support the missions of the College and Seminary.  For more details, please link to the full job description here.

Qualifications:  The successful candidate will be a creative thinker who can cast a vision and motivate a team to reach ambitious goals with excellence and integrity; will have the ability to advance ideas from plans to results while collaborating with other campus constituents; will have strong leadership, analytical, organizational, communication, and relational skills; and will have a proactive bias for action and issue resolution.  A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, and a CPA, MBA, or advanced degree is strongly preferred.  The successful candidate will also have 7-10 years of experience in a related not-for-profit role, with a preference for higher education experience.
