Computer Science Faculty

 

The Department of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics invites applications for a full-time, nine-month Faculty Position in Computer Science, beginning July 1, 2017, subject to final budget approval. Rank is open; depending upon qualifications, a tenure-track appointment is possible.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

This position will be instrumental in redesigning the computer science curriculum and adding an emphasis on cybersecurity.  Roberts Wesleyan College seeks to integrate computing into the variety of majors taught, especially to the sciences and in business. This faculty member will teach courses across the computer science discipline to both computer science majors and students from other disciplines. 

Qualifications:

Required qualifications include a master’s degree in computer science or a closely related field, with expertise and/or experience in cybersecurity; a strong commitment to the integration of Christian faith and learning; and a willingness to support and identify with the College’s Christian mission and identity.  A doctoral degree with experience in undergraduate teaching is preferred.
