Box Office Manager
Position Description/Responsibilities: The Howard Stowe Roberts Cultural Life Center seeks candidates for a part-time 30 hour/week Box Office Manager. The primary functions of this position are assisting with coordination of details surrounding the functions of the box office and box office ticketing software (Theater Manager), including sales reports, daily closing and reconciliations, and updating electronic mailing lists as needed. Other responsibilities include working with artist’s riders to assure deposits and payments are paid in a timely manner. Also, caring for other rider details – i.e., booking hotels, ordering catering, securing transportation needs, working with volunteers, etc. The knowledge of electronic marketing and social media are valuable as part of this position as well.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have at least two years post-high school education and 2-3 years professional experience in office functions, including solid knowledge and experience with MS Office, Windows 10, as well as social media and electronic marketing experience. Previous ticket sales experience is a plus. Excellent telephone, customer service, and teamwork skills, and good understanding of accounting/bookkeeping also required. Must be a self-starter. The hours during the summer will reduce to 20 per week (May 15- July 15).
