Associate Director of Athletics /Senior Woman Administrator
Position Description/Responsibilities: The Athletics Department is accepting applications for a full-time Associate Director of Athletics /Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). The Associate Director of Athletics / SWA is a senior level position within the Roberts Wesleyan College Athletics Department. This person works in conjunction with the Director of Athletics to provide strategic leadership and vision to the Department of Athletics, including but not limited to developing and implementing policies, procedures, and an organizational structure for the department that ensures its administrative and operational effectiveness, budget management, compliance, and day-to-day operations and game day administrative coverage. The Associate Director of Athletics serves as an active and visible presence within the department and provides supervision to assigned sport programs and represents the Department of Athletics on and off campus through guidance, leadership, and community building.
This position works closely with the Director of Athletics on matters relating to the department, college, East Coast Conference and the NCAA, while adhering to all rules and regulations of those organizations.
SWA duties include formulation, implementation and adherence to gender equity and minority issues plans; Athletics Department liaison to the college’s Title IX Officer; key reporting responsibility includes EADA report and NCAA Financial reports; leadership of the college’s drug and alcohol safety education program.
The SWA assists the Director of Athletics in upholding the College’s mission; facilitates discussions and assists with policies that positively impact student-athletes as they interact with coaches, administrators, faculty, staff and the community; and provides support and services to enhance the college experience of all student-athletes.
Qualifications: Master’s degree preferred and 3-5 years administrative experience at a college or in a sports field. Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills along with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of institution.
