Assistant/Associate Professor of Social Work
The Department of Social Work invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position beginning July 1, 2022. Rank and salary are based on degree earned, college teaching, and other professional experience.
Applicants must be a licensed MSW. Preference will be given to individuals with an earned doctorate in social work or a related field, experience with college-level teaching and a record of scholarship. Candidates must demonstrate a Christian Faith commitment consistent with the mission of the institution.
The primary responsibility of all faculty at Roberts Wesleyan College is teaching. The primary teaching responsibilities for this position will be in our traditional undergraduate social work program and in our non-traditional undergraduate program. The teaching responsibilities will include both online and in-person. There is also the potential for leadership roles. Additional faculty responsibilities include serving on department and College committees, advising social work students, collaborating to develop new programs and community partnerships, and preparing for accreditation. Promotion and tenure at the College is based on achievement across four broad categories: teaching, scholarship, profession-related activity, and service.
Department of Social Work:
The vision of the Department of Social Work is to lead the advancement of integrating Christian faith with social work practice, scholarship, and service locally, nationally, and internationally. Our department serves over 200 students and has 12 faculty members with 4 serving in the BSW Program and 7 serving in the MSW Program.
