Assistant Director of Grants and Engagement
Position Description/Responsibilities: The Advancement Office seeks a part-time (30 hours/week) Assistant Director of Grants and Engagement to provide research, writing and reporting support for the College and Seminary’s comprehensive grants program. Primary responsibilities include performing research tasks related to faculty and staff funding requests; assisting in program development and information gathering for grant projects; conducting the full range of activities required to prepare and submit grant proposals and reports; assisting in managing grant programs as assigned, including working with project managers, finance department and funders; and assisting with internal and external communications and office-wide events and functions.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years related experience. Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals. Must possess the ability to think strategically and manage processes, be proficient with MS Office and Google Suite, and demonstrate excellent organizational, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and with a team and possess high attention to details. Knowledge of research techniques, grant writing and fundraising experience preferred.
