Administrative Assistant & Room Reservation Specialist
Position Description/Responsibilities: The Howard Stowe Roberts Cultural Life Center seeks candidates for a part-time 30 hour/week Administrative Assistant & Room Reservation Specialist. Reporting to the Director of the HSRCLC, the primary functions of this position are assisting with coordination of details surrounding the planning of concerts, conferences and other campus events. This includes handling related correspondence, including e-mail, calendar, contracts, and invoices; coordinating Campus Room Reservations, utilizing the Events Management and Virtual Events Management Systems; and accurately tracking expenditures and deposits for HSRCLC and Conference & Event Services. The knowledge of electronic marketing and social media are valuable as part of this position as well.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have at least two years post-high school education and 2-3 years professional experience in office functions, including solid knowledge and experience with MS Office, Windows 7, as well as social media and electronic marketing experience. Excellent telephone, customer service, and teamwork skills, and good understanding of accounting/bookkeeping also required. Must be a self-starter.
