Administrative Assistant, Department of Music and Performing Arts
Position Description/Responsibilities: The Department of Music and Performing Arts is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant to work full-time during the school year and part-time during the summer. Reporting to the Department Chair, this position will provide excellent administrative support to the chair, department faculty and students, and the various programs within the department. Specific responsibilities include coordinating department budgets, including faculty contracts; significant event and schedule coordination, including department calendars, music events calendar, field trips, music lessons, practice rooms, etc.; supervision of student workers; facilitation of concert and recital programs; maintaining the department website and social media updates; and assisting prospective students.
Qualifications: Associates degree in Secretarial Science or related field, with 2-4 years office administration experience. Must have excellent MS Office, organizational, administrative task management, and customer service skills. Strong proofreading skills also required. Applicants with a music background preferred.
