Position Description/Responsibilities: The Finance Office is seeking applicants for a full-time Accountant to provide a broad range of accounting, reporting and information support. Primary responsibilities include maintaining general ledger charts and approving transactions; providing budget account variance analysis and other required reporting; maintaining and reporting on investment and endowment activities; reviewing ACH transactions and approving payables; overseeing account and other reconciliations; maintaining annuity sub-ledger and actuarial adjustments; and responding to departmental budget inquiries.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 1-2 years related work experience required. Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, as well as attention to detail, good communication skills, and commitment to teamwork are also required. Practical knowledge of Great Plains accounting software is considered a plus, as are experience with PowerCampus and Raiser's Edge.
