Initial Certification (Become a Teacher)

Pathway to Teaching, B.S.: Degree completion program for aspiring teachers. 21 months, in person, one night a week from 5–9 p.m. Program credits: Childhood 48, Adolescence 60.

Professional Certification (Continue Your Career)

Literacy Education, M.Ed. (All Grades): 30 credits, 11–22 months, 100 percent online. Writing Workshop for grades 5–12 and a Summer Literacy Program for grades 2–8 included.

Adolescence & Special Education, M.Ed. (Grades 7–12): 39 credits, 16–28 months, fully online. Subject concentrations include Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics, Math, English, Social Studies, Spanish, and French. Middle School Extension available for Grades 5–9.

Special Education, M.Ed.: 33–39 credits depending on track, 16–28 months, fully online. Multiple and Severe Disabilities annotation option.

Childhood & Special Education, M.Ed. (Grades 1–6): 39 credits, 16–28 months, fully online. Early Childhood Extension available for Birth–Grade 2 and Middle School Extension for Grades 5–9.
