Accreditation Process

The mission of all teacher education programs at Roberts Wesleyan College is to prepare students to be highly competent, moral, and caring teachers who will effectively educate the increasingly diverse population of students in public and private schools. The accreditation process provides us with this opportunity and guides our efforts.

As we begin to work with the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP) we are eager to demonstrate our commitment to AAQEP’s mission, “to promote and recognize quality educator preparation that strengthens the education system’s ability to serve all students, schools, and communities.”

As part of the process, each certification that we offer is also aligned with the Roberts Wesleyan College Teacher Education Program standards, New York State Teaching Standards, and Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (inTASC) Standards.
