Opera

Roberts Wesleyan College Musical Stage and Opera Workshop courses focus on teaching students all aspects of stage production.  From costumes, makeup, lighting and set design and construction, to character analysis, musical interpretation and performances of fully-staged operas with orchestra, this course seeks to educate students by providing them with opportunities for both onstage and backstage experience.

Previous Production

Così fan tutte (Mozart)

Translated They're All the Same (or A School for Lovers), the story's sharply satirical take on relationships between men and women is played for laughs. In this abridged version of the opera, Mozart's beautiful arias and ensembles are sung in English and Italian, and the setting is updated to the mid-20th century. Appropriate for all ages.
