Criminal Justice Majors present Research to Greece Police
On May 2nd, Roberts Wesleyan Criminal Justice Majors presented their preliminary research findings to the Town of Greece Police Chief and his two Deputy Chiefs. The presentation was a culmination of over 200 hours Internship experience in which Andrea Didas coded and analyzed two years of mental hygiene police reports of police responding to subjects in possible mental and/or emotional distress. Elias Shockey was the other student who conducted literature review and together the students actually made recommendations to the Chiefs based on their findings. This is real-world research that is making a difference and an example of the research opportunities available through the HSI major and the Roberts Wesleyan Justice and Security Institute.
