Justice and Security Institute Updates

The Justice and Security Institute expanded research on Greece Police Department's mental health emergency transports.  The largest age group was 13-19.  The student research group is drilling down on that category to expand the utility of the research to local school districts.

The Justice and Security Institute Police Community Relations Survey is out.  A Rochester Community Survey by the Roberts Wesleyan College Justice & Security Institute and the Baptist Ministers Alliance of the Greater Rochester Area was recently distributed to multiple area Baptist Churches. The hopes are that significant numbers of members of the City of Rochester faith based community will take the survey to establish current perceptions of local, county, and state police agencies operating in Monroe County.  The results will assist in community policing initiatives and job recruitment of underrepresented community members. Students will conduct the analysis this fall.
