![]() | Hello, and thank you for your interest in the Summer Biology Lab Camp here at Roberts Wesleyan College! We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and feel that it is most prudent to cancel the camp for this summer. We will continue to cooperate with the recommendations of the CDC, Monroe County Board of Health and other trusted officials as we look for an opportunity to safely offer this lab camp, most likely next year. If you are interested in being put on a list to be notified when we decide how we will move forward with this please send an email to scarborough_suzanne@roberts.edu and she will keep you apprised of our plans. Roberts is excited to offer our 6th bi-annual biology lab camp, likely during the summer of 2021! This program is designed for home-schooled high school students who want to get more hands-on-experience in biology. We will be covering a variety of topics from the cellular level up through ecosystems. Labs will include techniques and experiments in a variety of areas in biology:
The camp fee of $150 includes the lab manual and lab supplies, a t-shirt, a certificate of participation, and fun while learning! Dates: TBD WEATHER PERMITTING: Students will be working outside with dead bees on Wednesday afternoon. ![]() | Instructor: Rachel Graham, Biology Instructor/Lab Coordinator Rachel graduated from Houghton College with a degree in biology (environmental emphasis) and from Simmons College with a Master's in Education. She taught middle school science in PA, MA, SC, and NY before coming to Roberts 12 years ago. Rachel is the instructor for general biology and microbiology labs and the lab coordinator for the biology department. |
