Graduate Programs

The Master of Science with a major in Nursing Leadership and Administration degree program is designed for working RN’s who hold a bachelor's degree and are in or are seeking leadership positions in the health care system.  Based on nursing science, the program will develop and hone the nurse's knowledge of administration, management, and health care finance.  The course work, graduate project, and internship will prepare the graduate to be a visionary leader and a participant in the improvement of the health care system.  It is an accelerated program meeting one night per week with extensive online course support.

The Master of Science in Nursing Education degree program is designed for working RN's who hold a bachelor's degree and want to be an important part of nursings' future -- those who want to become a nurse educator.  The program utilizes evidence-based learning methods to develop students' expertise through practice teaching in an area of choice and preparation for multiple teaching settings.  Students will master the latest technological advances in education and be prepared for success in the nurse educator role.

Additionally, the Advanced Certificate in Nursing Leadership and Administration and the Advanced Certificate in Nursing Education programs are available for students who have previously earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree.  Students take six nursing leadership administration or education courses for 18 semester hours of credit and earn the post-master's certificate.
