Redhawks 2018 Fall Athletic Summary

 

MEN’S SOCCER:

The Roberts Wesleyan men’s soccer team finished their 2018 season with 5-8-3 overall record and a 2-6-1 East Coast Conference mark. The Redhawks finished in 9th place in the conference standings.

WOMEN’S SOCCER:

The Redhawks women’s soccer team posted a 5-9-2 record this season with a 3-6-0 record in the East Coast Conference. The Redhawks finished in 8th place in the conference standings.

VOLLEYBALL:

The Roberts Wesleyan women’s volleyball team posted a 5-18 record and 4-10 East Coast Conference record. The Redhawks finished seventh in the conference,

MEN’S GOLF:

The Roberts Wesleyan men’s golf team finished the fall portion of their schedule competing in five tournaments along the way. The Redhawks came in 1st in their home invitational and 1st at the Le Moyne Invitational. Senior Brandon Grzywacz set a new 36-hole school record shooting a 68 (-4) in the opening round and a 70 (-2) in the final round of the Redhawks Invitational.

WOMEN’S TENNIS:

The Redhawks women’s tennis team posted an 8-7 record this season with a 4-3 East Coast Conference record. The women’s tennis program made it to the East Coast Conference Championships for the first time in program history advancing to the semifinal round against Queens.

CROSS COUNTRY:

The men’s and women’s cross country teams both placed first at the East Coast Conference Championships to claim their fifth straight ECC title.

On the men’s side, ECC Rookie Runner of the Year went to Shane Pease and head coach Andrew Door was named the ECC Coach of the Year. The Redhawks also had 10 runners earn All-Conference honors.

On the women’s side, ECC Rookie Runner of the Year went to Abigail Gostomski and head Coach Andrew Dorr was named Coach of the Year. Ashley Watson was named ECC Runner of the Year. The Redhawks also had nine runners earn All-Conference honors.

Junior Moriah Martone earned Elite 19 award which is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest GPA. Martone holds a 4.0 GPA at Roberts.
