On Friday, October 14, 2016, entrepreneur, local businessman and philanthropist Tom Golisano will share his story about founding Paychex, an award-winning, multi-billion dollar company. Tom Golisano founded Paychex in 1971 with just $3,000 and a good idea – to make payroll outsourcing easy and affordable for small businesses. From those early days with just one employee, Paychex now has more than 12,000 employees serving more than half a million small- to medium-sized businesses nationwide and generating over $2.5B in revenue last year. Tom is well-known for his philanthropy, both personally and through the Golisano Foundation, supporting local and national causes in the areas of health, education and especially inclusion.
