Two Internationals Added to Men's Tennis 2016-17 Squad

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis head coach Tom Linhart has announced the signing of transfer Hugo Ball-Greene (Paris, France) and freshman Paul Langbroek (Munich, Germany) to the 2016-17 roster.

Ball-Greene comes to the Redhawks as a junior after recording a 23-13 record as a sophomore at McPherson (Kan.), an NAIA member.

The Communications major was ranked No. 15 in the NAIA's Central Region while appearing on the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference's All-Conference Second Team in both of his two seasons with the Bulldogs.

This past season, Ball-Greene helped McPherson defend their KCAC tournament championship with wins at fourth singles and second doubles.

"Hugo is a high level player and an outstanding student," said Linhart. "He had a very successful career at McPherson, leading them to the NAIA Championships in both years there. He brings experience and maturity both on and off the court and we will look for him to step into our lineup and be an impact player."

Langroek, who plans on majoring in International Business, brings an lenghty tennis resume to Roberts Wesleyan as he has participated on the European Junior Tour as well as competing in several International Tennis Federation tournaments.

"Paul's extensive experience on the European Junior Tour and ITF play provided him with the competition necessary to prepare for a successful college career," said Linhart. "Paul will be an asset to our program and our school.  We are very pleased he chose to become a Redhawk."

Ball-Greene, Langbroek, and the Redhawks will open the fall portion of their schedule on the road at St. Anselm in Manchester, N.H. on Sep. 3.
