Record Number of Golfers at 9th Annual Redhawk Golf Scramble
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (July. 19, 2016) – The Roberts Wesleyan College Athletic Department recently hosted the 9th annual Redhawk Golf Scramble, which took place on July 18 at Mill Creek Golf Club. The tournament had a four-person team scramble format as golfers competed for individual and team prizes.
A total of 144 golfers were in attendance with proceeds benefiting the Redhawk Athletic Club and the Mike Faro Athletic Scholarship fund.
The event, which has grown exponentially the past nine years, is the primary fundraiser for the Athletic Department which will begin their third year competing at the NCAA Division II level. Funds that are raised at the tournament go to the Redhawk Athletic Club general fund, which helps the Athletic Department pay for specific needs such as facility improvements, new equipment, or special projects.
