“I am incredibly grateful for the Roberts Wesleyan community for making scholarships available so that I could follow God’s plan. I am looking forward to the next four years and intend to use my gifts to make a positive impact on campus and in the world.”

I am from Buffalo, NY, but after my freshman year of high school, my family moved to Jacksonville, FL. It was tough to leave my friends behind, but I knew that in a few years, I would be going to college and starting a new adventure.

Since I wanted to play collegiate basketball, I started taking recruiting trips all over the country. Although I had options to play at a few different schools, I wanted to take one final trip to Western New York, where I was born and raised.  It was on this trip that I first visited Roberts Wesleyan.

When I found out my best friend from Buffalo was set to attend Roberts, we grew excited about the potential of us both going to college together – a dream we’d had since middle school.  After meeting with the basketball coaching staff, faculty members, and various people involved with the school, there was no doubt in my mind that Roberts was where God wanted me to be.

At Roberts, I knew I would grow intellectually, socially, and most importantly, in my walk with Jesus Christ. However, I also knew there was no way my family could not afford to send me here. Fortunately, the Lord blessed us with the scholarship assistance I needed to help me pursue the plan God had placed before me. Today, I am proud to say that I am a Roberts Wesleyan Redhawk!
