Joanna Stewart Poag '10
I studied at Roberts from 2006 to 2010. I double majored in both Psychology and Studio Art, my concentration being in ceramics.
Since graduating with my B.S., I have completed my Masters in Fine Arts at RIT's School for American Crafts in Ceramics and Ceramic Sculpture. I recently returned from an Artist's Residency at Tainan National University of the Arts in Tainan, Taiwan where I was the assistant to sculptor Hsu Yung-Hsu.
My work currently uses the multiple to explore balance and homeostasis using line as a means to form. I am captivated by the elegance of order and structure I find in the world and seek to explore those balances through my work.
