Students are challenged to work in fine art, studio and photojournalistic situations to develop their work and portfolio.
Whether they work as studio photographers, photojournalists, photo editors, or fine artists, students will bring their conceptual understanding and technical abilities to the workplace.
Preparing students to take their place in the contemporary image driven world is a focus for this program. In preparation for this students are encouraged to complete a professional internship in their area of interest.
Students in the photography concentration are additionally invited to take advantage of the resources offered in Rochester, including the George Eastman House and Visual Studies Workshop research archives and a rich variety of other opportunities.
