Pre-Optometry

  • Prepares you to apply for entry into an optometry school.
  • There are a limited number of optometry schools in the United States and one must maintain a high grade point average.
  • Upon admission to optometry school, another four years of training are required to become a licensed optometrist.
  • You will choose a major at Roberts which can be any of the majors that are offered here. Students often choose a science major since a number of science courses are required for admission to optometry school.

These courses include:

  • General Chemistry
  • Organic Chemistry
  • Physics
  • General Biology
  • Semester of Calculus
