Campus Closeup: Redhawks Golf Scramble Raises $31,544

The 8th Annual Redhawks Golf Scramble benefiting student-athletes took place on July 20, 2015 at Mill Creek Golf Club. The tournament had a four-team scramble format as golfers competed for individual and team prizes.

The event was hosted by the Roberts Athletic Department which strives to have student-athletes reach their full potential in all areas of the athletic experience - academically, spiritually, socially and through the realm of competition.

“We encourage our student-athletes to integrate their Christian faith into their athletic experience.  This is done by stressing the development of character, sportsmanship and servant leadership,” Athletic Director Bob Segave said.

A total of 125 golfers were in attendance with proceeds benefiting the Roberts Wesleyan College Redhawk Athletic Club and the Mike Faro Athletic Scholarship fund. “Thank you to all our supporters and participants who helped make this event a successful one,” said Segave.“The event raised doubled the amount of money from the previous year by raising $31,544, which included $3,000 to the Mike Faro Athletic Scholarship. Without support, this would not be possible.”
