Business Students Attend Elevate Regional Finals

Business Achievement

On March 21, at the Regional Finals for Elevate in Chicago, Roberts Business students presented a competitive business model for The Chinchillow (a blanket/pillow) invented by sophomore student Will Cornfield. His partners, senior Sam Thorold and senior Micah Lucas have worked with Will to write a One for One business plan.

"This business plan has a competitive edge because of the unique "One-for-One" business model. For every Chinchillow sold, one will be given to benefit the homeless community in Rochester. This is the heart of social entrepreneurship," Advisor Carrie Starr said.

The invention was the winning product at the Fall "Inventors' Symposium." It was popular with students as well as teens, athletes, kids and anyone else who wants to be cozy! "We have one to sell for those who want it and one to give to those who need it," stated inventor and student Will Cornfield.

The team celebrates a successful trip and opportunity to move forward with their business idea.
