Special Event to Celebrate Women's History Month

Roberts’ Student Multicultural Advisory Council has Coordinated this Special Event in Celebration of Women’s History Month

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Roberts Wesleyan College’s Student Multicultural Advisory Council will host “Women of Action,” a special event to celebrate Women’s History Month, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 27 in the Hale Auditorium on campus. Highlights include music by Marvel Trio and Roberts student Chelse Chambers, poetry by Lutonya Highsmith and reflections by Roberts Vice President Ruth Logan and Women Empowered 2 Lead Founder Tunya Griffin.

“We’re excited to host these prominent female poets, musicians and thought leaders for the wonderful celebration of Women’s History Month that our students have planned,” said Logan. “Women have played an immeasurable role in building and shaping our Roberts community, and we honor that contribution through events like ‘Women in Action.’”

The Student Multicultural Advisory Council at Roberts Wesleyan is a student-led organization, advocating for increased multicultural awareness everywhere
