Jenn Suhr '04 Picks Up Silver at World Championships

Congratulations, Jenn!

Riga resident Jenn Suhr earned a silver medal in today’s women's pole vault final at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow.

Suhr, the 2012 Olympic gold medalist and indoor world record holder, qualified for the final when she vaulted 4.55 meters (14 feet, 11 inches) on Sunday.

On Tuesday, she missed her three attempts at 4.89 meters, allowing Russia’s Elena Isinbaeva, who cleared the bar at that height in her first attempt, to win gold. Isinbaeva is the outdoor world-record holder and a two-time Olympic gold medalist.
