Roberts & Young Lion Studios Announce Green Light Workshop

Lights, Cameras, Education!

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Roberts Wesleyan College and Young Lion Studios are pleased to announce the creation of the Green Light Workshop, an exciting film and television production experience for new filmmakers.  This is the first program created in a new partnership between the college and Young Lion Studios. The workshop for filmmakers ages 15-19 will be held August 6-10 at Young Lion’s state-of-the-art production studios in Tech Park on Elmgrove Road.

“This five day workshop is a chance for participants to expand their knowledge of all aspects of production, and to gain hands-on experience,” said Alex Miltsch, Managing Partner of Young Lion Studios. “This is an incredible opportunity for students interested in breaking into the world of film, television, and media."

The Green Light Workshop represents the first step in partnership as Roberts Wesleyan College and Young Lion Studios work together to develop additional workshops, courses, and practicum opportunities that emphasize practical experience and intensive hands-on training.

"Our hope for this partnership is that it will allow interested students to collaborate with area professionals and to be immersed in relevant industry experiences,” said Nelson Hill, Vice President of Academic and Student Support. “It is our feeling that this partnership and its potential developments will truly put our students ahead of the curve."
