Board Also Names Long-Time Roberts Supporter David Hoselton Trustee Emeritus

ROCHESTER, N.Y. The Board of Trustees of Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary elected two members in October – George A. Kimmich and E. John Reinhold – while honoring Rochester area businessman David Hoselton, a trustee for 24 years, with the title Trustee Emeritus for the 2011-2015 term.

A research biochemist and native of Cortland County, New York, Dr. Kimmich served as the University of Rochester Medical Center’s senior associate dean of graduate studies.  He also served as URMC’s associate chair of biochemistry and director of the University Program in Biology & Medicine, among other leadership posts.  Dr. Kimmich holds degrees in biochemistry from Cornell University (B.S.), the University of Wisconsin (M.S.), and the University of Pennsylvania (Ph.D.).  At URMC, his research sought to define the biochemical mechanism and regulation of various biological transport systems.  Dr. Kimmich’s two daughters graduated from Roberts with degrees in Social Work.  He sat on the College’s Board of Trustees from 1994 to 2006.

Reinhold, who graduated from Roberts with the Class of 1963, founded Christian Care Ministry (now called Medi-Share) in 1993.  Members of the organization, the largest religious healthcare co-op in the world, share the medical expenses of the membership.  He also founded Florida’s VOICE (Volunteer Organization of International Commerce Executives) Task Force sponsored by the state’s then-secretary of commerce Jeb Bush.  Previously, Reinhold was vice president of two insurance companies after a successful marketing term with Eastman Kodak Company.  He currently is Chairman of the Board of The American Evangelistic Association.

“It is a genuine privilege to welcome George and John to our board – George for the second time – and to thank them in advance for their service during what promises to be a crucial time for us,” said Dr. John A. Martin, president of Roberts and Northeastern.  “We know we will be relying heavily on their expertise and counsel, as well as their friendship and faith.”

“We’re also very grateful to our long-time friend and supporter, David Hoselton, whose contributions to the success and character of Roberts Wesleyan and Northeastern Seminary have been extraordinary,” Dr. Martin added.

Both Dr. Kimmich and Reinhold were elected to four-year terms, which expire in 2015.
