Elizabeth Hussey Attends OCLC Resource Sharing Conference

Elizabeth Hussey, Public Services Librarian, recently attended the OCLC Resource Sharing Conference in Virginia Beach, VA. OCLC kicked off the event with a thorough presentation and demo of the new cloud-based Interlibrary Loan (ILL) system Tipasa. The keynote address, “Breakthrough Storytelling–What a powerful narrative can do for your library,” was given by Canadian writer and entrepreneur Todd Babiak. Elizabeth also attended sessions on ILL policy-making, system configuration, and integration between circulation and ILL software. The ideas and connections she gained will help the Golisano Library offer a more innovative Interlibrary Loan service that benefits our patrons with faster delivery times and our borrowing libraries with more generous lending policies. Elizabeth also visited Esther Gillie, former Director of Library Services at the Golisano Library and current Dean of Regent University Library and was given a full tour of the facility!
