Step One: Set Up Your Search Terms
Many steps in research are counterintuitive and none more so than the first step. Here is the place to start with a pen and paper, rather than a laptop. Research shows that people who take time in step one, have better papers.
Identify the Keywords and Subject terms for your topic.

Use the Search Term Development Worksheet to help arrange the words and concepts for easier database searching.
Step Two: Work with the Databases and Online catalogs
This is In Class work. This is also an excellent time to set up any accounts for better access of material later on.
