Hardware Support

Hardware is the physical aspect of your computer. The keyboard, the mouse, the computer under your desk and your monitor are all examples of hardware.

If you believe there is something wrong with your computer hardware, check the list below and if you cannot find your problem then please contact us.

Hardware Troubleshooting

Problem Try this...
Computer runs slow If you haven't restarted in a while reboot the computer.

Another common problem that slows down computer is extraneous software. If you have installed third-party software (e.g. iTunes) consider going into "Add/Remove Programs" and removing the software from your machine.

Yet another cause of slow operation can be a full hard disk. If you have a files on your computer that you no longer need, consider backing them up and then deleting them from your computer.
My computer won't turn on. Check to make sure all the power cords are plugged in.
Check to make sure that the power strip is turned on.
Computer is on, but screen is black. Check to make sure that your monitor is turned on. Check to make sure that monitor cable is plugged in securely in the back of the computer and the power cables to the monitor are plugged into the monitor.
Keyboard is not working. Check to make sure that the keyboard is plugged into the back of the computer. If it was unplugged, plug the keyboard in and you will need to reboot the computer (press and release the power button on the front of the computer). Press the power button to turn the computer back on.
My PDA is frozen Try a soft reset of the PDA:
Look for small reset hole on back/bottom of PDA and use stylus to press the reset button.
