All international students who need to obtain a Form I-20 must show proof of sufficient funds to cover a full year of expenses at Roberts. Documentation can consist of bank account balance statements or letters written by financial institutions with explicit numerical balances. They must be dated within six months of your application, be in English, and carry the same name as your sponsor.
The funds must be "liquid" (such as checking or savings), so money could be withdrawn at any time. Business accounts and insurance policies are not sufficient. If the currency is not in U.S. dollars (USD), the exchange rate for USD must be listed. All documentation must be certified - signed and stamped by a bank official. No copies or faxes will be accepted.
