Above all, my faith is an unceasing burning and thirst within me. Even in dormant stretches, I could never truly walk away from my beliefs and love for God. Even through life’s challenges I am zealous when it comes to my connection with God.

Having a concern about the ethics of actions; I boldly call myself an ethical watch dog...a courageously conscience truth teller. I refuse to abandon personal principles; I challenge immoral directives instead. This is what drives my passion for teaching Leadership Ethics.

Romans 12:2 (MSG) states,
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

With this scripture in mind, graduate students are expected to think through the implications of their actions so that as they continue on their educational journey they will become committed to ideas and causes bigger than themselves. By setting high personal & professional standards, for myself as well as the adult students I serve, each graduate student fully develops as independent critical thinkers who can take initiative & contribute innovative ideas…committed & focused.

Moving folks to a better place in their lives is a passion of mine. Individuals should not waste their gifts nor the promises that God has given. I have a compassion and desire to be of assistance to others --- to be of service, through teaching, motivating through words and information, and giving my support. I nurture, guide and make every effort to lead by example. An encourager of those who feel less. I become completely wild with euphoria when any soul reaches success. And, I truly do hurt when others hurt.

100% motivated by growth and accomplishment. I totally reject the notion of stagnation. Complacency frustrates me. Some would call me a perfectionist. I prefer the word “particular”.

The Greek word "kubernesis" means one who steers a ship. This professional has the duty to bring a vessel into the port through the rocks, under all kinds of stresses. As an administrator, I have the Spirit-given capacity & desire to serve God by organizing, administering, promoting, & leading in the “circles of influence” God places me in. Presently, my fulltime “circle of influence” is the United States Department of Agriculture where I function as an Administrative Officer, serving as a business partner w/ research scientists providing leadership in the management of the research units & their business functions.

I really love to sink my teeth into a good project. However, my inclination is to work “in the background” and allow others to “get the credit”.

On a more lighthearted note, as a certified Fitness Instructor with the YMCA of Greater Rochester, I am known as the “crazy, smiling Drill Sergeant” assisting individuals in their efforts to become “Fit, Fine & Fabulous”! Wellness, healthiness, exercise and sports make me buzz!
