Nursing Faculty

Position Description:  The Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor, beginning July 1, 2015. Rank and salary are based on degree earned, college teaching, and other professional experience.

Qualifications:  Qualifications include an advanced degree in nursing and NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. Preference will be given to individuals with a completed doctoral degree and clinical expertise. Candidates must be highly skilled and flexible, able to teach a wide variety of courses to undergraduate and graduate students in traditional and nontraditional programs.

Responsibilities:  The primary responsibility is teaching. Additional responsibilities include advising nursing students, serving on department and college committees, and collaborating to develop new programs and community partnerships. Promotion and tenure at the College is based on achievement across four broad categories: teaching, scholarship, profession-related activity, and service.

Department of Nursing:  The Department of Nursing is the largest department at Roberts Wesleyan College. As a learning community grounded in the Christian faith and committed to excellence in nursing through innovative education, scholarship and service, the Department of Nursing serves 350+ nursing students in growing pre-licensure and post-licensure bachelor of nursing degree programs and a vibrant graduate program with nursing education and nursing leadership/administration tracks. The Department of Nursing is excited about the opening of the Crothers Science and Nursing Center in August of 2015 with state of the art Simulation and Practice Lab facilities.
