Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer Day Camp

Boys and Girls grades 1 through 12
August 4th - August 8th 2008

The Roberts Wesleyan College Soccer Camps include five days of soccer instruction, training, practice, and game play.  The daily schedule includes morning themes and a “thought for the day” shared by one of the coaches, followed by technical and tactical training.  The camp includes many camp competitions which include small sided games, the coaches’ challenge and the ever popular World Cup tournament. 

Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer Shooting and Goalie Training Camp

Boys and Girls grades 3 through 12
Monday, July 21st - Thursday, July 24th 2008 (4 day camp) 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

A Shooting Skills/Goalie Training Camp is offered at Roberts Wesleyan College.  This popular 2-hour camp is loaded with shooting and scoring drills and skills.  8 full-size goals, goalies, coaches, and hundreds of balls help players take hundreds of shots each day.  Goalkeepers are provided with small group training and plenty of practice in the net.

Mark Fish begins his 4th year as the Roberts Wesleyan College Head Men’s Soccer Coach.   Prior to coaching at Roberts, Coach Fish had eleven years of College experience and was the program assistant with the Spencerport 2004 AA Boys Sectional Championship.  Coach Fish holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "B" license.  Coach Fish’s playing recognitions include:  Regional All-American at Alfred University, Big East All Rookie Team at Syracuse University and soccer All -American at Fairport High School.

Dan Berg

Dan Berg enters his 4th year as the Women’s Soccer Coach.  Previously he was an assistant coach at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, Missouri.  Dan is a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College.  As a player, Dan was a part of the Raiders soccer team that went to two consecutive NAIA National Tournaments and was ranked as high as #6 in the Nation.

Facilities

The facilities are world class.  The 1,300 seat stadium has a 120 yd x 75 yd field, the practice field adjacent is made of artificial grass and is perfect in all weather conditions and provides consistency of play. Additional grass fields provide excellent training opportunities.

General Information

  • RWC full-day Soccer camp runs 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and on Friday runs from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
  • Drop off and pick up is at the Artificial Soccer Stadium
  • Each full-day camp includes a camp shirt and full lunch in the College cafeteria (except Friday).
  • Camps include swimming (unless otherwise specified), scheduled at the discretion of each sport camp director.
  • Each camper should bring water, hat, sun block, bathing suit, and towel. Locker room locks not provided.
