Three others, senior Julie Kilcoyne, and juniors Stacey Tiffin and Mandie Bartz received NCCAA East Region Honorable Mention. In 2009, the team also demonstrated success in the classroom, achieving a combined GPA of 3.5.
Jon and Kirsten have a strong desire to bring Raider volleyball to the next level on and off thecourt. “We believe God has placed us at Roberts Wesleyan for a reason, He has called us to coach here. God has blessed us with gifts as teachers and volleyball players. Naturally, coaching evolves. 1 Peter 4:10 says ‘Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.‘ It is our desire to build relationships with our players and strengthen their ability to serve others using their own gifts. We feel called to invest in the athletes that we are privileged to coach. In turn, we hope to spur our players on towards excellence in all areas of life. We believe many of the skills learned in sports, such as desire, determination, and discipline, carry over into everyday life.”
