Head Coach - Dan Berg

Coach Berg enters his sixth year as Head Coach at Roberts Wesleyan College. During his five years at Roberts, Berg has a 53-42-10 overall record. In 2006, he was named the AMC Coach of the Year. The Raiders also finished with the second best record in school history ending that season at 14-5-1.

Last season, Coach Berg helped guide the Raiders return to the NCCAA National Tournament for the first time in 10 years after winning the NCCAA East Region in a thrilling shootout. The Raiders finished with a 8-10-6 record on the year.

In 2008, the Raiders reached the American Mideast Conference Tournament finals for the first time in school history after entering the tournament as the #3 seed. The Raiders finished with an overall record of 15-7-1.

Coach Berg currently serves as the Women's Soccer Vice Chair and East Regional Chair for the National Christian College Athletic Association.

Berg was an assistant coach at Roberts for the 2002 and 2003 seasons before moving to St. Louis, Missouri to become the Associate Head Coach for the women's soccer team at Missouri Baptist University.

A 2000 graduate of Roberts, Berg was a member of the men's soccer program that competed in two NAIA National Tournaments and received the schools highest ever NAIA national ranking coming in at #6.

Coach Berg has traveled to Holland, Sweden, Denmark, and Japan with the Charlotte Eagles and Ambassadors of Sport. Last season Coach Berg took the women's soccer team on a short term missions trip to Brazil under the guidance of the Charlotte Eagles.

In addition to being the Women's Soccer Coach, Berg also serves as Roberts Sports Information Director. Coach Berg holds licenses from the NSCAA and the USSF and graduated from University of Phoenix with a Master's degree is Business Administration and is currently working on his Doctorate of Business Administration

Coach Berg lives in North Chili, NY with his wife Nicole and son Noah.

 

Assistant Coach - Dragan Mitrevski

Dragan Mitrevski enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Roberts Wesleyan women’s soccer program. 

Coach Mitrevski has been active in the Rochester soccer community since 1984.  He played high school soccer at Gates-Chili, earning MVP honors in the Section V tournament.  In 1989, Coach Mitrevski joined the professional team, Toronto Macedonia, as a training player.  He has also played in the Rochester Premier league with the Macedonian Americans. 

Coach Mitrevski has served as a head coach in the Rochester Premier Soccer League and as a volunteer coach for the Chili Soccer Association.  He is currently a head coach with the Empire USA youth club and was the head coach for the modified program at Our Lady of Mercy High School in Brighton.  He most recently served as an assistant coach for the Roberts Wesleyan men’s soccer program for the last two years.  He is a USSF D licensed coach and has completed Coerver training. 

In addition to coaching, Coach Mitrevski is a business owner and is finishing his bachelor’s degree in psychology.  He currently resides in the town of Chili with his wife Jennifer and their two children Isabella and Marko.

 
 
 

Assistant Coach - Phil Schmitt

Coach Phil Schmitt enters his third year assisting the Roberts Wesleyan Women’s Soccer Team. Phil is a recent graduate of the men’s soccer program that included three NCCAA national tournament appearances. Phil was selected as a first team all conference defender for three years and completed his senior season as a 2006 NSCAA NCCAA First Team All-American.

In addition to being an assistant coach for the women’s team, Coach Schmitt recently graduated Roberts Wesleyan College with an accounting degree where his is currently employed at a local accounting firm, Mengel Metzger & Barr.

Also, Schmitt has coached in the local Chili soccer league for U10 girls and U 12 boys. He also runs individual training sessions for youth, ages 8-18. Schmitt also coached the U17 Hiawatha boys travel team in 2007 spring session. Schmitt’s experience and knowledge of the game will benefit the women’s team greatly.

 

 

 

Assistant Coach - Rick Mueller

Coach Rick Mueller enters his second season as an Assistant Coach for Goalkeepers for the Women’s Soccer Program. Rick’s playing days included a collegiate career at Westfield State College in Westfield, Massachusetts (1982-86), where he was a four-year starting Goalkeeper and First Team All-Mass. League. Highlights included earning berths in both ECAC and NCAA DIII National Championships. Rick also played in various local amateur leagues for many years for Spencerport teams.

Rick served as Head Coach of the Genesee Community College Women’s Soccer Team for two years (1998-99) after serving two seasons as John Berardicurti’s (Roberts Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach) Assistant Coach at GCC. Previous coaching experience included Boy’s U-19 Coach with Spencerport Soccer Club, 1 year as Goalkeeper Coach for NYS West ODP, Volunteer Assistant with the Boy’s Varsity Soccer Team at Spencerport High School, and several tours of Europe with various Spencerport Youth teams.

Most recently, Coach Mueller has served in many capacities with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). He is currently the National Assistant Awards Chairman as well as serving as a member of the Awards Committee. In the past decade he has spent time serving as Women’s Junior College National Poll Committee Chairperson (3 years), the National Chairperson for the Boy’s and Girl’s High School Scholar All-America Committee (2 years), and a Regional Chairperson for the Girl’s HS Scholar AA Committee (1 year).

Rick recently earned his Masters Degree from Roberts Wesleyan College and currently is a High School Social Studies Teacher at Spencerport High School.       

He and his wife Lynda have 3 children: David (19 and a student at Mary Cariola Children’s Center), Lauren (18 and an incoming freshman at Roberts Wesleyan this fall), and Kennedy (6 and looking forward to 1st Grade).

Coach Mueller and his family live in Spencerport.

Assistant Coach - Laura Willit

Coach Laura Willit is entering her first season as an assistant coach with the women's soccer program after a succesful four year collegiate career with the Raiders.  Laura became the programs first two time NSCAA/NCCAA All-American and finished her career at Roberts as the all time points leader having scored 52 goals and adding 48 assists. Laura also holds the school record for most assists in a season with 16.

Laura is currently working on her Master's degree in physical education and Canisus College.

Hochheimer Nets Three in Season Opener
Freshman Mandi Hochheimer scored a hat trick in her first collegiate game to help the Raiders win 3-0 versus Fresno Pacific.
