Head Coach - Bob Segave segave_robert@roberts.edu

Coach Segave begins his fourth season guiding the Lady Raiders.  Coach Segave has led the Lady Raiders to a 45 – 43 record over the past three season, including a trip to the NCCAA National Final Four in 2008.

Last season, the Lady Raiders finished 14 – 16 and 8 – 11 in the American Mideast Conference.  Roberts Wesleyan won the Max Ziel Tournament and finished 2nd in the 17th Annual Wendy’s College Classic. 

In Coach Segave’s first season, the Lady Raiders qualified for post season play within the American Mideast Conference (AMC) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).  Coach Segave guided the Lady Raiders to a 23-12 record, including a 10-4 conference mark, finishing third place in the AMC East Division.  The Lady Raiders won the NCCAA East Regional Championship and advanced all the way to the Final Four in Oakland City, IN, before losing to Hope International (CA) in the National Semi Finals.

Prior to becoming the head coach at Roberts Wesleyan College, Coach Segave served as assistant coach at Rochester Institute of Technology. During his time with the Lady Tigers, RIT enjoyed a season of firsts in 2006-2007, including the programs first winning season, first Empire 8 tournament berth, and first ECAC tournament bid.  

Before his time at RIT, Coach Segave was a highly successful assistant coach at several area high schools, including ten seasons at Aquinas Institute in Rochester, NY.

Coach Segave is excited to have this opportunity to give back to his alma mater (2006, Organizational Management) as Head Women’s Basketball Coach. Under Coach Segave, the Lady Raiders are developing a high energy; high intensity program that works hard on both ends of the court and displays the values of the college both on and off the floor.

Bob is a graduate of Gates- Chili High School and Roberts Wesleyan College.  He resides in North Chili, NY.  He is married to Laura and they have three children, Brandon, 23, Merrick, 21, and Jonathan, 20

 



 

Assistant Coach - Andy Paris

Coach Paris begins his fourth season at Roberts Wesleyan College in 2010 – 2011.  Coach Paris’ dedication and basketball knowledge were important ingredients to the Lady Raiders run to the NCCAA National Final Four in 2007 – 2008. Coach Paris has a coaching background steep in player skill development.  Coach Paris is the founder of Seabreeze Basketball and has been involved in AAU programs in the Rochester Area, including the Rochester Warriors.  Also a camp and program director, Coach Paris offers basketball instruction for grades K-12.

Coach Paris will focus his work with the guards this season.  He is responsible for recruiting at the Junior College level and will handle scouting and game planning assignments for the Lady Raiders.

Andy was a team captain while playing at Rush Henrietta Sperry High School.  He was a three year letter winner at SUNY Geneseo (’85 Management Science).  Andy has a Master’s Degree in Education (’08 Nazareth College) and currently teaches in the Rochester City School District.  Andy resides in Irondequoit with his wife Meredith and daughters Megan and Emma.

Assistant Coach - Jack Rosati

Coach Rosati will begin his second season at Roberts Wesleyan College in 2010 – 2011.  Coach Rosati recently accepted an offer to be a permanent assistant coach for the Lady Raiders.

Coach Rosati has been a highly respected and successful head coach in the Rochester area for 38 years.  His coaching resume includes a Sectional title while coaching at Harley Allendale Columbia.  He has received several coach of the year awards, and amassed a 158-108 record while coaching girl’s basketball at Aquinas and Harley Allendale Columbia. 

Coach Rosati will work with the post players again this season.  He will be involved in recruiting and game planning. 

Coach Rosati has also been a basketball camp director at the University of Notre Dame, St. Francis College, St. Bonaventure College and the Aquinas Institute.  Rosati loves to work with student athletes to help them realize their goals on and off the court.

Jack is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University.  He spent over thirty years with the Monroe County Children’s Center, most recently as director.  He retired in 2004. He lives in Greece, NY with his wife of 40 years, Joanne.  They have one daughter, Michelle, who is married to Michael.  Jack has two grandchildren, John and Vanessa
