Four Raider Volleyball Players Earn NCCAA All-East Region Recognition
Freshman outside hitter Corey Phillips (Reno, NV) earned NCCAA All-East Region honors for the 2009 season. She was selected to the first team, among seven other players from the region. Corey finished her freshman season last night at Houghton, where she led the Raiders in kills with 18, digs with 18, and aces with 3. She finished the season with an impressive 462 kills (first on the team), 55 aces (first on the team), 415 digs (third on the team), and 48 blocks (third on the team). Corey was selected to the All-Tournament Team at the Malone Pioneer Invitational earlier in the season, she was the RACA athlete of the week in August, and was the RWC female athlete of the month in September. Corey is double majoring in Business and Psychology.

Senior Julie Kilcoyne (Marceullus, NY), and Juniors Mandie Bartz (Attica, NY) and Stacey Tiffin (Sherrill, NY) earned honorable mention status. Julie led the team in digs (628) and was second in service aces (43). Mandie led the team with 53 solo blocks, 74 block assists, and 127 total blocks. She was third on the team with 267 kills. Stacey finished with 81 total blocks, good for second on the team, and 260 kills, fourth on the team. Julie will graduate in May with a degree in Accounting, while Mandie and Stacey are pursuing degrees in Criminal Justice and Communications, respectively.
