  Head Coach - Mark Fish

Mark Fish enters his fifth season as the Roberts Wesleyan College Head Men’s Soccer Coach.  During his first four years, Coach Fish has posted a 46-27-9 winning record and recruited talent that helped the Roberts Men’s Soccer Team compete at the national colligate level.  The Raiders finished their 2008 season 17-6 including a season highlight of winning on the road against the undefeated and #1 NAIA nationally ranked Rio Grande. 

The Raiders have had great success in the postseason National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Tournament in Kissimmee, FL earning second place honors in 2008 and third place honors in 2006.  The Raiders were also named the 2006 American Mideast Conference (AMC) North Division Co-Champions and the 2008 and 2006 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) East Regional Champions. 

Coach Fish was recognized as the 2006 American Mideast North Conference Co- Coach of the year and the 2007 and 2006 NCCAA Eastern Regional Coach of the year.

Prior to taking the helm at Roberts Wesleyan College, Coach Fish had eleven years of College experience with three Empire Eight College Men’s Soccer programs in the area. Coach Fish served as Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Alfred University from 1991 - 1993, Nazareth College for the 1995 -1996 seasons, and St. John Fisher College from 1996 - 2003.

In 2004, Coach Fish served as the boy’s high school soccer program assistant with the Spencerport Central School District. The Spencerport team won the 2004 AA Sectional High School Boy’s Soccer Championship. He has served as director of coaching with the Perinton Recreation Soccer Camp and the associate director of coaching with FAST FEET Soccer Training in Pittsford.

Coach Fish holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "B" license. 

Coach Fish who has a Masters in Counseling and is a NY State License Marriage and Family Therapist also serves as a therapist at the Roberts Wesleyan College Counseling Center.

Coach Fish resides in Fairport with his wife Julie and their two children Emily and Aidan.

 

 

 

Assistant Coach - John Berardicurti

Coach John Berardicurti (Coach B.) enters his fifth season and has played a major role with the Roberts Wesleyan College Men’s Soccer program.  Coach B. brings a tremendous amount of experience and expertise to the program and challenges each player to be the best player and person they can be on and off the field. Prior to Roberts, Coach Berardicurti spent 7 seasons as the Assistant Coach with Nazareth College.  Coach Berardicurti had the wonderful opportunity of working with the legendary Coach Doug May during his tenure at Nazareth. 

Coach Berardicurti brings a wealth of soccer coaching experience, including a total of 14 years coaching at various levels in the Spencerport School District. During his tenure, the boys' teams at Spencerport won six Monroe County divisional titles, five sectional titles, and made two state tournament appearances.

Coach Berardicurti also served as an assistant coach at the University of Rochester for seven seasons. During that time, the Yellowjackets made four NCAA tournament appearances and won three University Athletic Association championships. He also had coaching stints at Monroe Community College and Genesee Community College. Coach Berardicurti has coached at numerous camps and clinics and has coached the Men's Open Division at the Empire State Games.

A graduate of Monroe Community College and University of Buffalo, Coach B. is certified in elementary education. In June 2005, Coach Berardicurti retired from the Spencerport School District where he was a teacher in the Spencerport School District since 1973.

Coach Berardicurti's resides in the town of Spencerport with his wife Norma.  John and Norma have three grown children.  Sarah, a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College, James, who played four seasons with the Nazareth Golden Flyers before graduating in 2001, and Katie, a member of the 2001 MCC Women’s Soccer National Championship Team.

 

 

Assistant Coach -Peter Mastrogiovanni

Peter Mastrogiovanni enters his second season as an assistant/goalkeeper coach for the RWC Men's Soccer Program.  A former player for Roberts Wesleyan (1982-1986), Peter was a member of the 1985 East Region Division 1 NCCAA Championship Team and the 1985 team that competed in the NCCAA National Soccer Championships in Longview, Texas. As a player at Roberts, Peter won honors as Athlete of the Month and Men's Soccer Most Valuable Player Award.

Working with the Goalkeepers, Peter brings significant goalkeeper coaching experience to Roberts. Coach Pete coached in the New York State West ODP Program for 6 years as a team and goalkeeper coach. He has worked with many goalkeepers in the Chili, Greece Bucs, Hilton, Spencerport and Doug Miller Rochester Rhino Academy Soccer Programs. Peter also served as Director of Player Development for the Spencerport Soccer Club.

Peter holds a USSF National "C" Coaching License, a National Youth License and the NSCAA Level III National Goalkeeping Diploma with a Distinguished Pass. Peter is a staff writer for “Keeper-Skool” an Online Magazine based in Australia. Coach Pete is also the creator of the "Handle It Goalkeeping" website.

Coach Peter holds a Master's Degree and is certified in Elementary Education Grades K-6. Peter has been employed by the Rochester City School District for 23 years and is a Math Instructional Support Teacher for Henry W. Longfellow School #36.

He lives in Spencerport with his wife Melodie (former player on the Roberts Wesleyan Women’s soccer team) and daughter's Bria and Stephanie.

 

 

Assistant Coach - Joe Stirpe

Joe Stirpe enters his first year as an assistant coach with the Roberts Wesleyan College’s first team. Coach Joe spent the 2008 season as the Head Men's Reserve Team Soccer Coach at Roberts Wesleyan.

Coach Stirpe holds a degree in Communications from Roberts Wesleyan where he played for the Raiders from 1989 to 1993 and made an NCCAA National Tournament appearance.

Coach Stirpe is founder and Senior Partner for Premier Recruitment Group.  During his summers, he enjoys coaching his kids youth soccer teams. Joe and his wife Christine reside in Hamlin, NY with their four children.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

Coach Bobby McColl enters his second season as graduate assistant with the Roberts Wesleyan men's soccer team after working with the women's team last year. Bobby is a graduate of Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois where he helped the men’s soccer program reach the NAIA regional semi finals in 2007. Bobby also spent three years at Union University, TN as a midfielder for the Bulldogs and was named to the Tran South all conference team in 2004 and 2006.  Before coming to the states, McColl played for two years in Scotland where he was called up to three Scottish U18 national team squads.

Coach McColl currently holds the USSF National D License and most recently spent the spring season coaching Metrolina Christian Academy’s High School girl’s team in Charlotte, NC. He also served as an assistant coach to a boys U16 travel team in Charlotte. Bobby also has coached club soccer in Tennessee with the Tennessee Rush soccer club and in Chicago with Lincolnshire Lightning soccer club. Coach McColl also spent two summers with the Chicago Eagles sports ministry where he coached soccer camps in Chicago and travelled to Brazil on short term mission’s trips.

In addition to being an assistant with the women’s soccer program at Roberts Wesleyan, Bobby will also serve as the assistant sports information director working under head women's soccer coach Dan Berg.

Coach Bobby is originally from Glasgow, Scotland and currently resides in North Chili.
